History and activities

The locality has been given the name "Lamberval" since year 1000.

Since then, three building periods have followed one another: a fortified castle, a Renaissance castle, and then the current residence at the beginning of the 19th century.

The most recent architecture shows a pure style of stone and brick made buildings, with a main part dated from 1823 framed with two towers dated from 1854.

The current residents are the third generation of the family owning the domain since 1936.

The place inherits its richness from the past history as well as from the actual activity.

The current owners, Marc and Elise Lamoureux, will host you in their bed and breakfasts, and will be more than happy to share with you the history of their place, their current farming activity, including their modern oil factory.
